Framed in a contemporary, Lime wood tray frame
When my children were younger they went to Saturday morning sailing club. We live by the sea and its a great to get out onto the water, I loved all the hustle and bustle of getting the boats out and it felt like a very wholesome way to spend a Saturday morning. This painting has been built up over time with lots of layers of different marks and textures which show through the translucent top layer. I then apply thicker areas of paint such as the boats which gives them an almost, print-like quality.
